Mountaineers Home: +11 (14-3) (0.824)
Mountaineers Away: +12 (13-5) (0.722)

I thought the Eers would be a bit better at Home but they have not shown that. The faithful always say there is too much partying in Morgantown! But the winning is better in Morgantown, rather notably.

You generally want to measure this in an even number of years, even home and home against teams.

Over 20 years (21 seasons, 90-10), Ohio St. has only played 52 out of 120 teams (43%) ...wow...

Conferences decide how many conference games are played -- their choice -- and OOC games are chosen by each school -- their choice -- having, for example, 4 OOC per year for 21 seasons, would allow 84 different teams to be played, definitely more than half (60) of all teams nationally.

So, OS played 42 OOC different teams total (including bowls) in 20 years; average about 2 OOC new teams per season -- not much.

Check out any other major conference school and you will find out that Ohio State in the minority here.

Although FSU plays a lot of decent schools in OOC, for most of that period FSU was shackled to two annual OOC partners..Miami and Florida. With an 11 game schedule, that didn't leave many open games. It did give FSU a tough schedule though.

I don't think there is a school that plays two OCC games as difficult as Florida and Miami, year in and year out.
