Autzen Stadium

Postby WoVeU » Thu Oct 21, 2010 9:40 pm

Does that place have a lot of aluminum construction?

I've noticed the last few times I have watched the Ducks that it sounds a good bit like noise going through ducts.

When they did the add ons for Autzen, they designed it to increase and enhance the acoustics that were already there. Autzen already had great acoustics, now it is just crazy, and with the fans being so close to the field, well, you get the point. My daughter goes to Oregon St. but she is from Eugene, and goes home most weekends. She says when she drives by that thing, it just feels like an intimidating monster...her words.

Oh it is loud, but there seems to be an aluminum or tin ringing sound that accompanies all of the noise.

With the way Oregon is tearing it up, I would expect fluiddude to be on here more often. 8)
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

No, he dropped in last year for a few weeks. But he got a little ticked about something and nothing since.

He got tired of the constant bashing of west coast teams by members of this board. This is not a West Coast friendly site. He posts on a different site where West Coast football is predominate. He is a good guy.

Well I think friendliness ebbs and flows with conditions (level of peace and happiness...mostly with one's team.) And football does similar.
But about Missouri west this year...powerful football! But everybody takes some flack. The Big East has been getting it bad for about 6 of the last 8 years, some deservedly. People started piling on the ACC starting last year. The Big 10 took plenty for a few years in there.

People can talk all the mess they want. If I was an Oregon or Boise State guy I'd be strutting. And when they talked about SOS, I'd let 'em know mine looks great...Still On Streak!

I hate watching my team lose, I'd like them to move to the MAC and win a whole bunch of games, I don't need the NC hopes and aspirations as much as I could use smacking people around. But, they would still find a way to lose one every year. Boise doesn't play that mess...and I love them for that. Just winning is a whole lot harder than many people think!

Now that's something I don't understand. There is no dislike of West Coast football on this site, especially the fans of those teams.
