No - see your other post.

Re: Championship requirements
It would be an interesting trivia question to ask..."Has a team won the BCS Championship and not won their conference?"
“If short hair and good manners won football games, Army and Navy would play for the national championship every year.”
Re: Championship requirements
No they haven't. And their are only a couple of teams that have played in the Championship game that did not win their conference.

Wasn't Nebraska one? I believe that is when they changed the BCS rules to begin with if I am not mistaken.

Yea;

Re: Championship requirements
Actually;
I believe only Oklahoma & Nebraska have done it...
Ironic, as they may very well be the two teams facing off to play for the Big 12 this season.

Re: Championship requirements
Nebraska played in 2001...in favor over Oregon...somethings never change...but they lost. I don't think a non conference champion has ever won the BCS NC.

Arkansas was another one.
But only because Bama was on suspension.
EDIT: THis was a conference championship game...
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
