SEC screw job in

Postby Dossenator » Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:14 pm

Ark clearly created a turnover and the refs gave South Carolina the ball. Garcia was being sacked and fumbled...Ark recovered. They blew the whistle right when Garcia was touched. Bogus! At least South Car missed the field goal.

All morning on gameday they kept saying SC had to win so it would not deminish the SEC championship game. Earlier in the week on College Football Live an actor guest was picking games and was asked about the Ar vs South Carolina game. He said on the air that the shows producer instructed him to pick SC.

Can Ark overcome a ref screw job...they could not against Auburn.

Man Petrino was livid. I have never seen him make that face before.

So?

Arkansas needs to hire a sharpshooter to tranquilize these refs...that would be awesome!

Did anyone see what the personal foul on Ark was that helped SC on this last drive?

I missed it switching to the A&M and Oklahoma game. But I figure there probably wasn't anything or something close to nothing...just playing the odds.

I did not see what the call was, but at least the other blown call did not account for any points.

That's my point...I was watching closely and did not see a personal foul. Petrino just shrugged his shoulder to say I give up. That foul gave South Car the ball in Hog territory at the end of the half.

Face mask no call. Ref right on it.

They don't call those on even numbered downs or odd numbered downs less than 5!

Kind of like...heads I win, tails you lose ref calls.

Well, Hogs overcame all the bad calls. And there were many. I just can't believe how bad these officials can be sometimes. I do have to say that this is only the 2nd game this year that they were just terrible (the other game was of course at Auburn).

Ark should put "Home of the other 12th man" on a big sign in the stadium!

Here's video for anyone who missed the game. Garcia fumbles the ball and Arkansas recovers. However, they give SC the ball. Said that Garcia had been stopped. The play was still in progress. The defender did not for sure have control of him when he knocked the ball out. Also, listen and you will hear that the whistle blow after the Hogs recovered the ball....not before.

Watch Petrino....he is livid. I have never seen him make this face before. He then yells...."look my players in the face".

It looked like a fumble to me. If the whistle blew, then it blew to early.

Fumble...I guess they figured the QB was "in the grasp" and blew the play dead.

When the whistle blows the play is over no matter what. That, however, doesn't mean the whistle was blown correctly.
