I believe I daho's stadium meets the FBS minimum. I read an article on the Big East's desired expansion and it stated Nova would have to add 3,000 seats to meet the FBS minimum, they currently seat 12,000. So the FBS minimum must be 15,000.
Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

There used to also be a rule about having to average a certain number of fans per game.

There still is an attendence requirement, it is on total attendence though, I believe the have to average 15000 a game.

Idaho is just another weak program on the schedule for the Bronco's..

Idaho was beaten by La Tech and Colorado State and beaten worse by Nevada (by 45 points) than by Boise...these guys in Moscow need to stick to hockey. Fer gawd's sake, they almost looked like Indiana...LOL.

Maybe it would be good for Ark to replace Boise in the WAC. Get up for 2 games a year, cream the other 10 cupcakes and play in a BCS bowl every other year. Sounds good to me. And those of you saying Idaho is not bad...their 1-4 in WAC play (does not get much worse then that). Ark has also played in three conference championship games in football in the SEC....and has been one of the top 2 or 3 SEC baseball teams for years. Ark has also won over 40 national championships in track alone. Comparing Ark to Idaho is just crazy BYUfan.

I was not comparing Arkansas to Idaho. I was comparing Arkansas to Vanderbilt. I just brought up the WAC as a suggestion for a place for Arkansas to go in case Arkansas ever gets kicked out of the SEC if the football team continues to go without an SEC title.

Maybe Arkansas was better than Vanderbilt in basketball, but they are not now. In the last two years, Vanderbilt is 43-21 overall and 20-12 in the SEC while Arkansas is 28-34 overall and 9-23 in the SEC.

It was only a couple of years ago than Vanderbilt was ranked #1 in baseball. Arkansas may have played for the SEC Championship in the past, but they lost the game every time, and I don't believe they had the best record in the SEC in any of those years. Arkansas was going to the title game when the SEC East was much better than the West.

There is already some crossover as far as conference affiliation is concerned, but the last thing college sports need is to have conference membership on a sport by sport basis. Maybe Vanderbilt is not much in football, but the school is competitive in other sports. Why not suggest that the ACC kicks Duke out because of their football team or the Big 10 kicks Indiana out because of the football team or Penn State out because of the men's basketball team? Perhaps SEC football should scale down to just Alabama, Aurburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee since South Carolina and Arkansas have zero SEC titles since joining the conference and you have to go back to 1976 for a championship or co-championship for the other four schools.

There is no way the WAC should kick Idaho out. It is beginning to look like Hawai'1 is leaving. The WAC should be looking for more schools to join the conference not more schools to be leaving the conference. The WAC is taking in UTSA, and they don't start playing football until next year. Idaho went to a bowl game last year. New Mexico State has not been to a bowl since 1960 when the Aggies won the Border Conference. Utah State has not been to a bowl game since 1997. Why not suggest that those two teams get kicked out of the conference. If Hawai'i leaves the WAC, Idaho, along with Louisiana Tech, will probably be the best two football teams in the conference.

Idaho has struggled recently. So what. I have not done the exhaustive research that many of you have done, nor am I going to. but my thinking is....In every conference, someone is on the bottom.....

Though my responding to Mr. Billybud only encourages him, he is right. Boise's schedule is not as strong as it should be, even if they are in a stepchild conference. Idaho is not good, this year...but they are a conference team. (I remind everyone again that the Idaho Bowling Green game in the Hummanitarian Bowl last year, was one of the most entertaining games of the season. Should Boise step it up...yes, if this is the diabolical path they seeming have chosen, they don't get it both ways. Should they have scheduled Nebraska...no, you don't have to be bullied. Heck..from where I look at it, the loser in that matchup was Nebraska. It is Boise that has the country's best record. And, and when a cowboy school and a farmer school start talking...you think you are going to have tea for drinks...well maybe that is what the farmers want.

Utah State lost to Oklahoma by less points than Florida State, so I guess that means Utah State is better than Florida State. Boise State could have named the score against Idaho if they wanted to, but they called off the dogs early. So I would not use the scores against Idaho as proof that Nevada is better than Boise State.

By the way, Idaho won today.
