Oh that is certainly it....late losses have always hurt more than earlier losses....

Maybe. I hear tons of excuses why teams lose. We were flat. Injuries. defense playing to soft. Here is what I know - Ohio State got beat by a good team - not a great team. It wasn't a close game, the got their drawers handed to them. Wisconsin dominated them completely, but I hear people try to justify how Ohio State jumps Wisky in the polls. In my book, that can not happen. You can use all the justification in the world - we are a better team now blah blah, but when someone hands it to you like that you stay behind them.

Well;
at least we both have more wins than the gators do ...

Only, I wish we got to play them too ... but we have to settle for that other florida team

BSU still has top of the conference games left to finish the season. Even if the BCS keeps TCU ahead in today's release then BSU can still overtake them if they perform well in the remaining three games.
The problem, as I see it, is some teams have been having matches with good teams, week after week....while Boise's "top of the conference" games are with Nevada, Fresno State, and Utah State.
And none of these teams would be favored over even six loss Ole Miss in the SEC...well, Ole Miss did beat Fresno State 55-38. That's a problem for me if I'm a voter. A one loss LSU, Auburn, Stanford, Oregon etc (all top 25 SOS)....has played some teams whilst Boise was cruising through the weak schedule.
The schedule strength of Boise continues it's slide to a now #82....
I would rank Boise above Ohio State and Wisconsin since Boise's schedule strength to date is similar to theirs.
You can argue that Ole Miss is the #12 team in the SEC and they beat Fresno State handily...and Fresno is supposidly one of the top tier teams in the WAC.

For example, Nole fans everywhere have been wondering this morning about ratings....I see some of it on the boards and that is the tip of the iceberg.
FSU and Miami have the same record and FSU destroyed Miami on their home field...yet Miami is ranked #21 and #24 while FSU isn't ranked.
Which makes no sense what-so -ever. I wouldn't rank Miami above FSU and more than I would rank Ohio State above Wisconsin. It is crazy if the records are the same to rank one team over the other. It isn't honest to rank Miami over FSU - it just isn't based on what happened on the field. You may be able to justify it if the game was settled "wide right" or won on a last second TD, but when you get handled by someone you stand in line behind them until the lose more game than you do - That my opinion on how ranking teams should work.
I think the big reason the FSU is behind Miami is that voters pay close attention to the top 10 teams and don't pay any attention to the bottom 15. They rank the top ten and then just fill in teams to get them to twenty five.
