Cal State Fullerton-Long Beach State

Cal State Fullerton prevented the Big West Conference becoming a runaway for Long Beach State by beating the 49ers in Fullerton 89-87. All five starters for the Titans scored in double figures. Jer'Vaughn Johnson, a transfer from San Diego State, had 22 points and 13 rebounds. Devon Peltier chipped in with 18 points for the Titans. Larry Anderson had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists for the 49ers. Casper Ware also had a good night for the 49ers, scoring 27 points. Long Beach State falls to 6-1 in the Big West and 11-9 overall. Cal State Fullerton is now 3-4 in conference play and 7-12 overall.
