FSU sites have been railing about the dominance of North Carolina in the ACC. With a handful of schools in the area and an ACC Commissioner who is a NC grad, the ACC universe seems to swing around North Carolina.
FSU plays in 15 sports with a championship tourney...and 13 of those 15 tournaments are scheduled to be conducted in North Carolina. Seems a little bit much.
And that's not the worst of the ACC transgressions...
...No other team is scheduled by the conference to have to go on the road for ESPN Thursday night games like FSU...FSU has played one at home and eleven on the road. 2011 will be another Thursday night road game.
...The ACC again pressured Miami and FSU to open the season on Labor Day. Finally, Jimbo got the AD to say.."enough..find another pair". ESPN loved the ratings and pressed the conference which pressed FSU.
...the officiating, especially in basketball, seems tilted when a North Carolina team is playing. The Ole Boys are basketball guys and the league has an interest in seeing Duke and North Carolina do well in conference games.

“If short hair and good manners won football games, Army and Navy would play for the national championship every year.”
Re: FSU Growing Weary of Tobacco Road Ole Boys
...BYU may come out the winner..maybe not...they left a bunch of money on the table...but being independent does not have to last forever and being in charge of your own fate.......Some of these good old boy conferences may have some schools that get fed up...Trustees can do some mighty powerful things.
