My new football

Postby Dossenator » Mon Aug 22, 2011 10:02 am

Well, this past Saturday I went to the University of Arkansas fan day. It was held in Bud Walton Arena (basketball arena). All the players and Bobby Petrino were on hand for two hours to give autographs. You could bring one item to have signed, and thousands of people attended. I took my two nephews and they had a great time. The players were gracious and really interacted with the kids well. I took a football and was able to get most of the signatures I wanted: all the WR's (Joe Adams, Greg Childs, Jarius Wright, Cobi Hamilton...all 4 on the Bilentnikoff watch list), DE and DL (Jake Bequette, Alfred Davis, DD Jones, Tenarius Wright, etc), linebacker and safeties (Jerry Franklin, Jerico Nelson, etc), and a few others mixed in.

What a great day and atmosphere: Tusk the live mascot was there, all the cheerleaders were present, video screens were up all over playing highlights from last season.

The lines were crazy long though...so I did not get QB Tyler Wilson, coach Bobby Petrino (his line was an hour or longer wait and you only had 2 hours to get an autograph), or any of the running backs or Oline.

I will get Petrino's signature next year!

How come pictures almost never post for me. I select Img and put the image location in between. It should post the picture but it does not. Oh well, I put a link to the picture for those interested in seeing it.

I like it!

About the picture thing, it was a little strange because I clicked the link and tried to get the image url, but that won't show up in my regular browser either.

It was nice to actually get to meet the players, shake their hands, talk with them, etc. They were great with the kids. My nephews are for sure Razorback fans now. :D

I think there is a 12 step program for that.

I bet there is. However, (if you believe the jokes that float around) I am sure you are aware that most Razorback fans can't count to 12.

Always best to get them baptized early!

They can count pretty high in Georgia as well...mostly thanks to the new math they are teaching that relies on NASCAR drivers.

1...2...Earnhardt...4...Kyle Busch....6....etc.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

If your going to count, you may as well count correctly.

Truex, Wallace, Earnhardt, Swirvin Irvin, Terry Labonte, Martin, Kulwicki, Junior(00-07), and Awesome Bill

Obviously this is not an accurate too date list but these are the people who personify the car numbers for me.
