Top 25 in merchandise sales

Top 25 in merchandise sales (2010 list):
I found this interesting...there are teams not in the top 25 that surprised me (no Ohio State to name one).

Not one West Coast school which is a great commentary.....Sometimes not being on a list is a good thing.

West Coast metrosexuals are just too hip to wear college merchandise...heck, you can't even buy the stuff on Rodeo Drive.

It's the Heur sunglasses with a beret or funky cowboy hat paired with tight jeans and Converse shoes...but never, never a college ball cap or T shirt unless you are doing a DeCaprio and wear a WVU hat to show how you have a common touch.

I'm with Billybud...I did live in Southern CA for 7 years. They are much to good for ball caps and t-shirts with college logos. They are into high dollar flip flops, expensive sunglasses the size of man hole covers over each eye, lipo, botox, laser hair removal, tanning, etc. (this list goes for both girls and guys).

I for one was proud to see Arkansas in the top 20 of this list.

America is so great....the South is happy to line the coffers of Nike and Adddias and the West Coast is OK with C.C. Filson.

Never heard of CC Filson..had to use Google.

Here, in the glorious south, we have no CC Filson...we do have CC Rider, and cc & coke (for the women and effete).....But Orvis is our equivalent of CC Filson.

I like the Orvis representative store in Thomasville Ga (Kevin's)....35 miles north. Thomasville is the epicenter of world class plantation hunting and you can walk in with your gun dog. Ever since my beloved Bogart died, I have occasionally taken the bike to Thomasville and stationed myself at the table in the window of the next door coffee shop with a cup of coffee and watched the dogs go by. I am still grieving my good buddy, but some day when I feel ready, I will have to find another companion. Dogs open the pathways to your heart.

Gawd...I am so maudlin in the mornings...

Like Orvis, the Filson "stuff" was much better in years gone by. The red and black Mackinaw jackets were a standard for lumbermen and people that lived outdoors. I think I am not that good with change.

Something about wearing well made rugged clothes and having a dog at your side that fulfills in our minds the dreams of where we would really like to be that institutions where we spent most of our time, just didn't cut it.

I will say...if baseball caps and tee shirts with collegiate logs are the benchmark of these sales, I am so surprised there is some mention of some Western school.....that is all I see anyone wear. I thought it had become Government Issue for our schools...

I can't believe WVU made the list with a population less than Chicago...and knowing WV has many Marshall fans and more than a few who don't do the dual support thing!

And BB and Doss you are cracking me up! :D A thanks to BB on the Dicaprio nugget...didn't hear about the event. While it indeed could be an image stunt I now have to support him almost as fervently as I do Jennifer Garner...and he doesn't have near the curves she does.

...and Mrs. Donovan says.....you better quit hanging out with these cronies of yours before you get some wild eyed notion for your grandchildren. I say...looks good to me.

And Nike donates the money to Oregon.

Who is on the west (left) coast anyway. I can't name a team out there nor care to try!
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.
