Ohio State - Illinois

I wanted to comment on this game but I've been too busy watching paint dry, then watching grass grow.

I like defensive games, but not because the offense is so bad. We did complete a pass there early in the fourth quarter.

Why didn't Zooker kick the field goal then attempt the onsides kick? Sure the game is going to come down to one play but at least kick the can further down the road.

I agree. It was about the dumbest thing I have ever seen a coach do. It still would have been a long shot to win, but it was a chance. If they would have made the first down, but not scored there it is likely they would have used too much time to recover and onside kick and get into field position. That was one of the all time bone head moves I have witnessed.

I think he took a page from the Purdue coaches page. We make bizarre decisions all the time.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

The Zooker was famous for dumb stuff, while he was at Florida, but they were good enough to usually recover from his goof ups.
