This was only the 2nd team with a winning record they beat so far this year.

Lotta talent on both teams. Stanford appears to be for real and USC!

I am not sold on Stanford. I have only seen them play a couple of games this year. During the game last night it showed that Stanford's schedule is ranked close to 100 (it was in the 90's). They had only beaten one team with a winning record until last night...and last night beat a team that is minus scholarships and on probation. I think Oregon will hang 50+ on Stanford.

I don't know what their schedule rank is, but their QB (Luck) is the real deal. He is as good as there is in CFB.

Luck is good...played poorly for much of last nights game (but he is good). The team as a whole...not sold on.

Most of the time college teams are about a few players. It only takes a few really good players in CFB to win the NCG. Sometimes we forget that. Most of these guys aren't NFL material.

You are correct. Auburn is a great example of that. They had an incredible talent at QB, and a defensive lineman that no one could block last season. Both are in the NFL and Auburn is not the same this year.

Sometimes a couple of guys is all it takes..

Marshall had a wonder year or two with Randy Moss catching Chad Pennington's tosses. Duante Culpepper made UCF a much better team than they were...

One of the areas where FSU fans thought that Bobby was slipping was in no longer getting those dominating players who changed the game. Florida was snapping them up.

Look at Texas. The difference that a Colt McCoy makes over the current Gilbert. You need good QB play to survive in a tough league.

You can have great players that never make good pros that hold a team up too. Tim Tebow and Pat White can make you look really good just by getting 1st downs you otherwise couldn't!.

And Marshall was ranked nearly as high for a few years following Randy and Chad. But that is because they got Leftwich and Darius Watts. And the more I have watched the more I am convinced the latter are gotten in large part because of the former. "Kids are the worst wave-riders! Just another reason I have never cared much for them. They see an All-Worlder in their jersey and they can envision themselves in that jersey!"

Arkansas should move up to about #5 in the AP and coaches polls (they were #8 going into today with all three of the mentioned teams ahead of them).

I have never said this before right now but go Trojans!!!!!

I could never pull for USC, even if Ga was in the position the Hogs are in. :D

I am with you brother, the only way I could pull for USC or ND...is if them winning meant WVU or Marshall getting into the NC or BCS (maybe a few other teams as well). Or one of them winning would knock the other one out of the NC or BCS bowl without putting the winner in. (My football hating keeps me warm through those cool Fall nights! :D )
