That's an incredible accomplishment. Congrats to him. He's done so much for so many guys, he knows he's made a mark on his world.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Congrats. Here is hoping he knows when to hang it up!
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

Does Jo Pa coach?

Looks like our friend Billybud is having Bowden flashbacks . . .

Joe doesn't coach anymore. In the game against Illinois they kept showing him in the box. He didn't have head phones on. I didn't see anyone with headphones near him. An announcer said Joe couldn't stand on the sideline for a whole game. It is just kind of sad for a living legend like Paterno to let himself be paraded around like a mascot. He is in relatively good health for a guy in his 90's. He should be hanging out in a box enjoying the games with friends instead of going on with this farce that he is actually coaching. I honestly believe the only reason he is still the coach is to keep his kid in a job, because Jay won't have a job as soon as they name a new coach.

Bobby was an on the field coach. He oversaw every practice. He was not an energetic recruiter and had gotten stale and protected old staff who had aged.

FSU slipped in recruiting because Bobby and his cadre were stuck in the days when kids knocked down the doors to get in...they were older, lazier, and were losing recruits to young coaches like Urban Myer.

But Bobby was a far cry from the stuffed toy that Joe Paterno has become. An interested spectator sitting above the field with no head phones. Joe is not a coach. He has become a icon...He might be a great symbol, but he stopped coaching some years back.

Should Joe Pa get credit for games or shouldn't he? I say NO; it looked to me like he was dozing off or about to when I saw him in the box. Still, between him and Bowden trying to outlast each other I am sure one of them will kick off during a game. Or maybe break a neck by running on the field to tackle someone from the other team running to score (a la Woody)

He really isn't coaching anymore. Make him a bronze statue and retire him out.
