Oregon versus Washington

This weekend Oregon comes to Seattle to play the Huskies. This is the last game to be played in Husky Stadium until the major renovation is done sometime in 2013. The will play their games at Century Link Field, where the Seahawks play.

On the West Coast this game is of note. Washington is 6-2, 4-1 in conference and only lost to Stanford and Nebraska. The Ducks have won the last seven games, with Sarkisian things may be different. (I have no dog in this fight...these are two of the most obnoxious fans in the country...drives me nuts.) The rivalry goes back to 1900 so next to the Apple Cup and the Civil war this game is one of the classic match-ups for both teams.

I pick Washington to win...where is Fluiddude? Oregon was sluggish last week agains Washington State an Thomas has not been all he wants to be for Oregon at QB. He has been out because of knee injury and frankly, that healing process is not what football trainers tell the coaches and players...just because it doesn't hurt doesn't mean it is healed..but I digress again. The real threat of Oregon is the running backs. Washington has a good running back in Chris Polk, fifth in the nation and their QB is Keith Price who is nationally 8th in passing efficiency. The hometown crowd of Washington may make a difference.

Husky Stadium has one of the most beautiful views on the open end of any stadium I have been to...which is more than three.

I think they are building a solid program...they had the stuffing torn out with all their shenanigans. My opinion is Willingham did a great deal to turn the program around where it needed to be turned around, unfortunately there were not results on the field. Will be a couple of more years, but recruiting has been OK, so there should be some results soon.

I think they are building a solid program...they had the stuffing torn out with all their shenanigans. My opinion is Willingham did a great deal to turn the program around where it needed to be turned around, unfortunately there were not results on the field. Will be a couple of more years, but recruiting has been OK, so there should be some results soon.

Willingham is a good football coach, he just doesn't like to recruit. I think Steve Sarkisian is a good coach with the energy to recruit. He also played for a program that has a history of overachieving. I think that means he brings a good work ethic. If they give him some time, I agree that he will make big strides.

I have always felt that Willingham would have succeeded at ND, if they would have stayed with him. Part of that is that ND will almost always easily recruit 4 and 5 star talent, with very little effort.

I thought he would do well there too. I think his big problem was that ND has swung and missed a couple times in a row and the Irish faithful were tired of waiting. Notre Dame's people haven't learned how to operate in a world where they aren't the only team that recruits nationally. Kids aren't falling all over themselves to go to ND anymore, at least not as many.

Willingham from what I nhave seen has always handled things ins class way. Hope he succeeds!
