Goodbye Jacory, And Good Riddance

Postby Cane from the Bend » Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:56 pm

You played the way you always have; at least as Miami fans will remember you.

Four interceptions in the second half; you literally threw the game away . . . again.

With you gone, now we may be able to get back to playing Miami football.

Goodbye Jacory; Thanks for trying . . .

Whe n he was good, he was very good, and when he was bad he was horrid.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I haven't seen Good Jacory Harris since his sophomore season. I was thinking that the INT to Kuechly was a microcosm of Harris' career.

I seem to remember a good performance against Florida a few years ago, and I was really impressed with him.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

It was just last week that Miami beat USF on Jacory's hot 27 of 35 passing...without an INT.

He was unbelievable against Va Tech at Lane Stadium but I guess it was part of his Jekyll and Hyde mentality.

That was precisely it:

How do you keep a guy from playing if he has the potential you see as being star quality?
yet again
How can you play somebody who throws 4 interceptions in a game, multiple times?

The problem being; someone who excelled in camp. Then just didn't produce in real game time.

A coach needs to know when to pull a guy. If he was better than the backup in camp, but is not as good in actual competition; maybe the backup will be better in a live game than your wouldbe star.

You have to not get drunk on the possibility of success, when the production isn't there.

Know when to say when, man. :)

Which is very hard to believe?!?!? 77% and no interceptions. And the Hurricanes had the ball for 38 minutes. And if B.J. Daniels doesn't get injured the win comes much harder...at least. USF put the heat on Miami and blitzed a lot. Miami adjusted and took the shorter stuff, which is always good to see a team to do, but it isn't their thing at all. I think Harris would like to throw it 45 yards on every play.

Good defensive game... :D

Field position still counts.
