What do your ballots look like? A little early still with one week left to go for some of the performers, but I'll give it a whirl:

1. Montee Ball. I've just been too impressed by the eye-popping numbers. After the Big 10 title game, he will have finished the season with 30+ rushing touchdowns. I've been too wowed by his scoring not to vote him #1. Although this is a very, very difficult call.

2. Robert Griffin. Just due to the theatrics against TCU and Oklahoma. He still has a game against Texas next week to put on a show. It would be really hard for a player on an 8-4 team to win the Heisman, so I think next week is a must-win for RG3.

3. Trent Richardson. I really wanted to put Richardson higher, but the competition is so stacked. He is probably the odds-on favorite at this point.

4. Case Keenum. Obviously the competition is a notch below what most Heisman contenders will have faced, but we have to give him props for setting the all-time passing record. He's on a tear right now and will definitely be invited to New York.

5. Andrew Luck. Not having a spectacular year, but I guess he gets invited for leading Stanford to a top 5 finish with an 11-1 record. Not to mention probably the top QB in terms of pure talent (although I love me some Matt Barkley in that department).

To be honest I have never even heard of Monte Ball...of course I watched zero Big 10 games this year.

Ball is a very good player, not in the same league as Richardson though. Ball scored lots of TD's early playing teams they should beat out. He probably does have 30 TD's.

Trent Richardson hands down. Alabama wouldn't be in the picture at all without Richardson.

Best impact on a team? Richardson and give him the crystal ball too because he's the only reason they are going to get a shot at it.

I really like Griffin of Baylor. The guy under the radar this year was Burkhead of Nebraska. If I were drafting for a RB it would be Burkhead.

Seriously - if you base the award on which player raised the bar of its team and played at a very high level in a tough conference, how can you argue with RG3.

As stated earlier, this award has become somewhat changed over the years to become the best player on one of the best teams. I believe it is supposed to be the best player in college football.

I think of it as the biggest impact game changer type player. In a run conference that is known to run I'd have to give it to Richardson. You know he's going to run it but he still does it with success even against the best run defenses in the country and as I've said there is no Alabama this year without him.
