Karmic Joke?

Postby billybud » Fri Dec 02, 2011 8:20 pm

Karmic joke?

Soooo. I read that Suh is out because he stomped on an offensive lineman's arm...who did they say his replacement will be while on suspension? None other than Fairley who was, easily, the dirtiest college player of the last decade.

Yep. Fairley almost caused the Ga/Auburn game last year to break out into a mass riot.

I don't like him that much either. But what Suh did should be more than a 2 game suspension IMO.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I don't know how Suh could have had malice since he wasn't even looking at the guy when the stomp occurred. It was more of a "get away from" motion. He is now issuing mea culpas to try to save his hide. He doesn't know how to control his aggressiveness (every other instance of Suh being "dirty" was just him being aggressive).

You are on to something in how it didn't appear to be quite what everyone has claimed. But I think it was because there was an effort to be sneaky about it. Which to me makes it even worse! As that means it was much more of a conscious thought in addition to the rage displayed just before.

So I will follow with the same thoughts that I last last year on Fairley....seems very fitting right now. The problem would be best resolved if someone beat him like a drum. A couple of trips to the ER and he would start to find his inner peace!

Suh is by far the dirtiest player in the NFL. They need to put a stop to his outbursts or he will hurt someone bad one of these days. He knew full well what he was doing when he stomped that guys arm. After the game he acted all innocent.

I too find it funny that Fairley is replacing him. He knocked 3 QB's out of games last season for cheap shot hits. He back spear on Aaron Murray should have garnered a suspension.

Thanks for reminding....I forgot about the lying part. So he showed in one day he was dirty, sneaking, and lying....the trifecta!

If you think I'm some homer for the Lions, I have been extremely critical of the attitude that Schwartz allows to percolate throughout this lockeroom....LOL. But besides that, Suh let his emotions get the best of him. I don't think it was calculated to be malicious, I think he just stomped his leg in frustration or anger. Like I said he looked down and turned his head in the process of the stomp, he didn't even see where it landed and if he was really looking for a fight I don't think he would have walked away at the time. I don't care that he was pushing the guy's head against the turf either, because he was messing around with Suh. A split second before the incident, he hauled Suh to the turf after his legs got tangled up.

The hits on Cutler, Delhomme, and Dalton were all fine in my book. These are the other examples that lead people to believe Suh is dirty and they are all overblown.

Suh has a thuggish rep with a past history of penalties...he developed that rep as a dirty player at Nebraska. He had already been called before the Commissioner to talk about his play.

He is an aggressive player that sometimes lets his rage get away from him.
