The Ohio Bobcats play inspired basketball in the second half as they defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies 67-58. Ohio was 12-of-23 (52%) in the second half while only shooting 38% (8-21) in the first half. The Bobcats had a one-point lead in the first half, but went on a 12-1 spurt to start the second half. The first bucket made by Northern Illinois was a jumper by Marquavese Ford with 13:34 remaining in the game. The Huskies went on a 20-9 run to end the game, but it was just a case of too little, too late for NIU.
Walter Offutt led the Bobcats with 19 points while Nick Kellogg chipped in with 12 points. Reggie Keely came off the bench to register 13 points and 5 rebounds for Ohio. Sophomore guard Antone Christian scored a season-high 15 points in the losing effort for the Huskies.
