Highly touted incoming Auburn running back is being held out of practices after a high school guidance counselor admitted to falsifying transcripts. It's ok, it happened to Fairley too. A couple years at a junior college will get you a new set of falsified transcripts that won't be questioned as much. Auburn, we may not win good, but we cheat good.

It probably does, I just notice it more because I suspect Auburn of cheating as this is the third time I've read about it happening in three years.
I remember from a previous incident that it's up to the student to supply a legal transcript and up to the NCAA to verify it. Meaning the school isn't responsible for falsified transcripts. I wouldn't be surprised if boosters were involved though as the guidance counselor must have had some incentive to risk it.

I would say that is probably right. The NCAA has no ability to verify anything. They need to be reborn.

I have always said if you continually finish in the top 15 your school is cheating. I hate to admit it, I was in a class at my alma mater where a math class qualified for what this article alledges. I guess I am getting more jaded about schools, the NCAA and all the phonies.

Not just the top 15. I went to a DIII school and they had classes for athletes. Most atletes there didn't need the classes, but some did. I remember one guy who had no business in school. If he had the aptitude, he wasn't prepared at any level to be there.

How bad do you think it's going to get at UNC? I would imagine they are going to get a massive beat down by the NCAA and then there is the possible loss of accreditation.
They made a mockery of college athletics and a mockery of academia. Best part is that they lied about it but it is UNC so we will have to see if they get preferential treatment or not.
