Week 4 Top 25 Upset Alerts

Postby Vileborg » Wed Sep 19, 2012 10:24 am

Major Alerts

Kansas St. over Oklahoma - Oklahoma has been shaky the first few weeks not living up to their position

Arizona over Oregon - This should be a scoring game. I think Arizona will get more stops on defense.

Possibles

Cal over USC - USC should win but it is Cal and USC seems to be pointing fingers over the loss.

Missouri over South Carolina - I think South Carolina is going win but Missouri played Georgia tough.

Clemson over Florida St. - Florida St. has looked like the real deal this year and I would not be surprised to see them DESTROY Clemson. It is for all the marbles and I expect a knock down drag out bloody war.

Crazy Calls

Oregon St. over UCLA - UCLA should destroy Oregon St. but it is Oregon St. and they tend to forget their lot in life often enough.

I think Arizona is mostly Arizona. A lot of people point to their thrashing of Oklahoma State, but they all forget how they escaped in overtime against Toledo. Toledo is alright, but if you're in Tuscon and you're a legitimate top 15 team, I don't think you should struggle that hard. So something between those two games doesn't mesh together, so I'm not quite on the bandwagon yet. I think they have improved from last year and they have adjusted to Rodriguez pretty well. If that game were in Tuscon I think an upset would be much more likely.

I took Kansas State in the pick'em without knowing why. Oklahoma is kind of like USC because every year they are in the top 10 and tossed around as a national title contender only to lose in the first half of the season to what people assume is an inferior team.

Clemson has some great skill players...at QB and WR.

FSU by 7-10....Clemson will stack the box and try and stop the run and make FSU's QB beat them. FSU will attempt to establish the run, but will have to pass to open up the box a little.

This is a distinct possibility.

You have not seen the Oregon team I have been watching....No surprise if they are in the NC
Possibles

Cal over USC - USC should win but it is Cal and USC seems to be pointing fingers over the loss.
Probably not...only because Cal is not that good

Missouri over South Carolina - I think South Carolina is going win but Missouri played Georgia tough.
If hope ever figures in...then this is the hope.

Clemson over Florida St. - Florida St. has looked like the real deal this year and I would not be surprised to see them DESTROY Clemson. It is for all the marbles and I expect a knock down drag out bloody war.

FSU is the full meal deal. Clemson will may have to pay tuition for all they are going to learn.

Oregon St. believes....They will show Kiffin and his prima donnas how it is done, down on the farm.

I am inclined to agree with all of that Eric.

Clemson has to jump on them early to make it a game, or perhaps win. FSU will take a bit of time to adjust to the speed and athleticism for the first time this year. If Clemson doesn't have at least a 13 point win going into the real game (half # 2) they are in trouble. There is a lot riding on this game for Clemson, if they lose by more than 16 or 17 points I think it will break their spirit pretty good and rain all over their new era.
