Hawaii v BYU
I did not see the game, but read about it and it was sad, especially Norm Chow's return to BYU. I hope Chow is not one of those guys that was a great assistant coach, but never quite makes it as head coach. He is, one of the genuinely nice guys in sports. He has a good as resume developing quarterbacks as anyone. I think that if he can discipline his players, not in the terms of behavior, but discipline on the field, and that is tough because his great recruiting field will be from the Polynesian Islands and sometime that "hunks" have a pretty laid back philosophy of life...hmm...come to think of it..why would I think anyone should give that up...well, anyway...I wish Chow success. Warriorsfan...what's your take on where you are going with all of this?

Re: Hawaii v BYU
I think Hawaii should have stuck with the run n' shoot. Sure they were dipping without June Jones, but at least they had a calling card. Now they can't even find the end zone. Although Hawaii is usually a lot worse on the road, so maybe that had something to do with the egg that they laid.

Would love to see the run-n-shoot come back at least we had an offense then!, now we don't even have that!

I expect a new OC or Head Coach that was an OC to change the offense. I've always been amazed when a DC gets a head coach job and changes an offense that worked well!?!?!?!?
Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.

If they players change a lot (4 or more years) you can get away with it.
Coming in and telling a team of seniors that the offense they have been playing three years is gone, they probably won't respond well.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
