Week 6 Top 25 Upset Alerts

Postby Vileborg » Wed Oct 03, 2012 2:36 am

Major Alerts

Florida over LSU - Timing is everything, LSU is playing bad and Florida is playing well and has a bye week coming into the game.

Texas Tech over Oklahoma - I'd almost consider this a given.

Possibles

Miami over Notre Dame - I don't know why I just think it's a bad match up for ND.

Iowa St. over TCU - TCU is not scoring well and Iowa St. is being stingy.

Penn St. over Northwestern - Penn St. is starting to turn it around and Northwestern hasn't been as strong the last couple weeks.

Texas over WVU - It's here in Texas and I think the emotional boost from the crowd is the difference. They are ranked so close it's hard to call it an upset.

Crazy Calls

NC St. over Florida St. - It's in Raleigh and it's happened a few times before.

Arkansas over Auburn - It's just too ironic not to happen.

TCU vs ISU could be a defensive battle....TCU is only averaging 23.7 points per game and ISU is averaging 20.

NC State has enough talent to pull off a season-defining upset. I think they'll keep it close against Florida State, but their defense hasn't been very impressive this year. Statistically they've done well, but they shut down The Citadel, South Alabama, and UConn. Tennessee and Miami lit it up against them.

Is Purdue over Michigan an upset? Michigan favored by 3!
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

It's pretty possible. It depends on whether or not Denard doesn't give the other team five extra possessions

Georgia has lost an important receiver (not the star, but a good one) for the rest of the year.

Torn ACL in practice.

Put Georgia on the list of possible upsets.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I think Utah State is a good ball club. Their wins this year have been impressive because of whom they played. Probably have played as tough as schedule, thus far, as anyone. USC has not met up to expectation, but they are always going to be ready.

Should be a good Thursday night game, well has the potential. Can't predict because my hope would taint the prediction. Utah State by 7.

They play the Utes! :D

How about Casey Pachall getting a DUI? TCU could have some issues getting past Iowa State.

Quite possibly, and Pachall is suspended indefinitely from the team.
