SEC Coaching Openings?

Will there be new coaches at Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn...and maybe Tennessee?

Tennessee seems to be improving some....but Auburn, Arkansas, and Kentucky need coaching help.....

I believe you are correct. The problem with coaches in any league is there is always going to be a top half and a bottem half and no one wants to be part of the bottom half.

I agree with all of the above. Everybody is going to head in different directions. Kentucky and Arkansas are locks, but Auburn and Tennessee will be closer. The good news for Tennessee is that they close out against Troy, Missouri, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. If Dooley wins out and finishes 7-5, it will have been a season where they compiled losses to Mississippi State, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina. There's not really any shame in those defeats. So maybe if they go 7-5 he could save his job, but if they get upset by Missouri or Vanderbilt and finish 6-6 I think he's toast.

For Chizik, this year has been absolutely miserable and I don't know if they have the loyalty to stick with him. Chizik was pretty bad as head coach of Iowa State before he got here. His most successful season came with Cam Newton leading the offense. Coincidence? Probably not.

Charlie Strong is probably going to wind up at one of these schools, I would think most likely Arkansas.

Chizik is throwing his assistants under the bus as reason for Auburn's lethargic season. That hierarchy at Auburn is odd enough to give Chizik the benefit of the doubt on that. But Chizik needs to be...FIRED.

At least Derek Dooley has made Tennessee "clean" again, "post-Kiffin". Dooley should get one more year. Tennessee will remain an attractive enough job for a potential big-time coach after the 2013 season. And Tennessee should promote Dooley to Athletic Director.

Tennessee has put points on the board, but that defense is indeed swiss cheese, Eric. Good call.

I guess it depends on how you look...if you are a glass is half full kind of guy you could say, "We'll they gave up 721 yards and still somehow won."

Dooley might have been given the benefit of the doubt because of his father. Sad to see him go.

Tenn fans, my brother included, have been crying for some time for this. They are making a mistake IMO.

I haven't seen anything official yet, but the rumors are swirling. How can it not be true? Dooley is 4-18 in SEC games. I don't see how Tennessee can keep the fan base happy by bringing him back next year. I think Dooley did a good job at turning Louisiana Tech around and I think he is a good coach. There just doesn't seem to be any magic at Tennessee, for whatever reason.
