Anybody Think Alabama Doesn't Go Back in 2013?

Postby Eric » Mon Dec 24, 2012 3:25 am

Check out their official schedule:

Aug. 31 - vs. Virginia Tech @Atlanta, GA
Sep. 14 - at Texas A&M
Sep. 21 - Colorado State
Sep. 28 - Ole Miss
Oct. 5 - Georgia State
Oct. 12 - at Kentucky
Oct. 19 - Arkansas
Oct. 26 - Tennessee
Nov. 9 - Louisiana State
Nov. 16 - at Mississippi State
Nov. 23 - Chattanooga
Nov. 30 - at Auburn

Certainly not an easy slate, but it's a four game season nonetheless. I don't see any way that Virginia Tech can beat Alabama though, so maybe more like a three game season. Johnny Manziel, LSU, and Florida/Georgia are the only things that can save us from a Bama three-peat. Well, them and Notre Dame

I should say that I would lean towards Florida winning the SEC next season depending on who stays. I'm pretty certain that Matt Elam will be off to the NFL, but I believe Jelani Jenkins will stay put. Their defense should be good enough and Driskell will probably make the necessary steps to become an average QB. That will win them a good portion of their games. It would take an upset over Alabama to do it, but I think it's possible.

We're not even done with 2012, why am I concerning myself with next year?

Bama will have the talent to be as good as anybody on their schedule...LSU and Johnny Football & A&M might be the biggest challenges,

Florida's Driscoll will have a barrel full of talent to support him.....I hope that Elam will be gone, he has been a great player for the Gators.

If Saban comes back he won't lose to A&M twice in a row.

Don't write off Ole Miss.

I'm convinced that they can pull it off next year.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I wonder if Auburn might be good enough under Malzahn. I don't think he has the talent base to beat Alabama, but I think they're a dark horse to win 8 or 9 games. Their non-conference should be 4-0 (Washington State, Arkansas State, Western Carolina, Florida Atlantic).

I don't think you need the talent equal to a team to beat them. You just need the motivation and 80% of the talent.
