I think the Rose and Gator are promising. I think Stanford handles Wisconsin easily with Bielema as field general, but Alvarez is a different story. He was still heavily involved in game planning at Wisky anyway, but with him on the field too, I think that will be a football game.

FSU rang up 49 points and 667 yards on Clemson...rushed for 287, threw for 380.

Clemson's defense has improved in a couple of months.

Clemson played great football today. Lots of speed on the dline. That was the difference.

Cane from the Bend wrote:The ACC did pretty well on the Eve of 2013 . . . outside of NC State, Georgia Tech & Clemson both came away with Big Game wins.

And one thing is for certain; no one is going to say the Clemson win was for lack of competition by the opposing team. The Chik-fil-A Bowl was hard fought on both sides . . . Fantastic game to watch.

Things could look up for the ACC. It'll be interesting to see how all plays out after conference realignment reshapes the field. But with Syracuse winning in the fashion they did; things only look better.

I will rarely celebrate a GT victory....but this one was a good un. 8)
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Cane from the Bend wrote:It was a wonderful game to end 2012 with.

Interesting to note: during the first quarter, even with the game so close (when it was more than obvious the commentary had SEC/LSU blinders on), there was mention of Miles' history in regards to 11 win seasons, that stated how many he has, and with a win (last night) it would be another 11 win season.

No mention of Clemson's 10 wins, and 11th if they were to win last night's game . . . Clemson is now an 11 win team . . . tied a record for the most wins in a single season @ Clemson in decades . . . and the only mention of that, was by Dabo in the post game on field interview.

Also; the commentary kept mentioning the lack of protection for Boyd, but sparsely pointed out LSU's lack of protection for Mettenberger; eventhough Clemson had more sacks. As a matter of fact, there was no mention on that last drive how Clemson was actually adjusting to the blitz, and picking up major blocks.

In the post game interview; Les Miles never gave Clemson any credit, rather, gave credit to his defense for playing tough . . . he stated that: they (Clemson) had over 100 offensive snaps, and still had to come down the field and kick a last minute field goal to beat us, what does that tell you?

Ask me that question Les, I tell you:

a.) your defense could not keep Clemson's offense off the field

b.) your offense could not make a critical 3rd down and 2 in order to seal away a victory

c.) they won; you lost. . . oh, yeah, bad coaching might have had something to do with your team's loss, as well.
