Don't bet against FSU in a bowl

Postby billybud » Fri Jan 04, 2013 12:54 pm

FSU has now won five in a row...Wisconsin, WVU, South Carolina, Notre Dame , and NIU.

For gamblers, FSU has covered the spread in the last nine bowl games.

I think Jimbo Fisher has done a great job there so far. It'll be interesting to see if they can take the next step into becoming a national title contender. Seems like with their success in recruiting that they can't be very far at all away.

I agree. Florida State isn't far away. Even closer then they look. The defense looks really good and smart, the offense is good, but they are playing maybe not as smart. I thought they would make a run this year, but it looks like next year is probably going to be the year.

Jimbo needs a QB to run his system...I love EJ, but his clock runs slow and he can't find the open guy so he goes for the quick short pass.

He also overthrows a lot.

FSU is 23-7-1 in bowls over the last 31 seasons....I don't think anyone else has 20 bowl wins in the last 31 seasons.

Since 1980..

OSU is 14-15

Michigan is 16-15

Florida is 14-14

USC is 13-9

I think that is the problem with the Buckeye QB. You have to make the quick reads. He doesn't, at least yet. When Joe Daniels had to quit coaching QB's because of his cancer, Ohio State never really got a competent replacement.

Georgia has won 18 since 1980, I didn't count the tie with FSU in 1984.

Twenty three is pretty impressive.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
