But nobody thinks that it is true that someone thinks it is right but in reality the thinking is what everybody expects it to be thought about in the first place. Therefor to think is not logical when middle age males hormones are enhanced by the rigors of thinking about what might have been if they had only thought about that in the first place when trying to describe what they think and feel about college football.

I can tell by that post that Silverfox is a youngish guy...the brain is still forming.

Oh It's all right. I do understand

In much of Florida, the Big Ten is resented for their long time tradition. It is only fairly recently (to someone with my long term perspective) that the Florida teams received some media love.

Florida, Miami, and FSU, before 1978...were in the hinterlands of football...Florida hadn't a whiff of an SEC Championship, Miami was just coming on but wasn't the powerhouse that it became, and FSU was building towards its coming out party in 1979.

And I don't take offense that you addressed me personally.

I don't address you personally when discussing football issues. I'm a southerner and that is verboten in our culture. Seriously.

I didn't realize you were a Southerner. My family migrated to Idaho from Alabama, Texas and Arkansas. Seriously.

What is the purpose of your "seriously"?

When you mimic like that...it sends a message. If that is your intent..well, then...at least I know what you are up to.

We all have to be from somewhere. My families migrated from Ireland, Germany, England, and...in the states...Wisconsin (father's side)...Alabama (mother's side). I was born in Montgomery, raised around but went to high school in Pensacola.

I married a Texan...whose families migrated from Kentucky and Tennessee in territorial days.

My seriously was good intentioned like yours was.

My mother was born and raised in Arkansas and My father's family primarily are from Texas between Dallas and Fort Worth. They predated the Republic of Texas and some died at the Alamo. Of course we won't discuss the war between the states here, but strangely enough College Football continues to perpetuate.... well not going there either...

I worked in Louisiana for a number of years in Baton Rouge and attended many LSU games.

The Civil War has always interested me...On one side, my GG grandfather was in the Wisconsin 3rd Cavalry and fought the rebel raiders in Kansas/Missouri. My GG Grandfather Stillings fought with the CSA Alabama Camden Rifles.

Both sides of the family lost members at Shiloh Church.

My wife's GG Grandfather was killed by a bull on the Texas plains before the war. His widow raised the kids on the homestead near what is now Coleman, Texas, in Comanche country at the time. Those Texans were tough, ornery folks.

Both my great Grandfathers on my dad's side were killed by bulls. Bulls were a fairly ornery bunch as well.
