BIG 10 Championship

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sat Dec 06, 2014 10:24 pm

Not only have the Buckeyes got themselves a QB; but the defense is stand as true as ever.

And WR Smith, is abandoning the Wisconsin secondary.

Gonna be hard to not seriously consider this Ohio State team in the final selections ... the committee is gonna have a headache after tonight.

Cardele has a good arm. He isn't as sure footed as the others. So far so good. Our receivers are eating the Wisky secondary's lunch.

I think the whole committee is watching the ACC game praying GA Tech finds a way to win. That would take a lot of pressure off but we all know about FSU and 2nd halfs so I'm guessing they wont get that kind of luck. I am not envious of the job they have tonite/tomorrow morning, well yea I am.

I think if Florida State wins they should be a lock to be in the top 4 over every other team in the nation. Every team.

Next year we have B Miller, JT Barrett, and Cordelle Jones fighting for the #1 QB spot.

Do you think Jones might transfer? Barrett won't be going anywhere, but I imagine Jones will get automatic third billing.

I have to admit, I was counting out Ohio State big-time after Barrett went down. I was very confident that Wisconsin would take this one.

Jones won't go anywhere. He is a Glenville boy.

I knew Jones had the arm to be OK. We have good receivers and he has a good arm. Wisky's backfield is their weakness. Luckily we caught some of those jump balls.

I'm pretty jealous. Michigan hasn't wiped the floor with a ranked team since 2011 against Nebraska. I mean, if our athletics stopped losing to New Jersey Institute of Technology in basketball and won six games in football to qualify for a bowl game, I guess that would be a start

I say it every year, but Ohio State is absolutely better at athletics in every conceivable way. We're 0-3 versus Ohio State in lacrosse, too. We beat Ohio State in hockey today, but I'm not getting my hopes up

I bow to the Buckeyes. You own us  . I can recall the times around 2003 when it felt like Michigan football games mattered. Ah, the good old days

You guys will get your coach this time and our games will be fun again.

That said, we played pretty well tonight for an underdog.

Going to be an interesting week. Everyone took care of business but some did it a lot better than others. Was it enough to push FSU to the 5 spot? I don't want to see that kind of controversy.

No way Florida State should drop out of the top 4. Not undefeated. No Way.

I'm glad the defense played well tonight. Shutting down Gordon. They dedicated the game to Karageorge. Bennett wore his number. They did him and his family proud.

I have to say and I have seen lots of Buckeye games; this is the most perfect game I every saw them play. They muffed the field goal, other than that it was perfect.

Also I think I am safe to say we have the best 3rd string QB in college football. 8)

Well I think tonight's game is going to ramp up operations at Michigan. I think they saw what they have to compete against. They can't get it wrong this time or else there's going to be another five years of futility. It's painful to watch other major programs find their elite head coach and we've been toiling in no-man's-land for the last seven years.

Is Jim Tressell available?

What's funny is that I think Brady Hoke is going to go to another small school and succeed after a year or so. I don't think he is fundamentally a bad coach, but he may have bitten off more than he could chew. I think I read somewhere that he never had coached anybody considered a 4 star recruit coming out of high school at either Ball State or San Diego State. Maybe it was just a clash of personalities where he didn't know how to motivate them to unlock their potential. Nobody knows. Rodriguez has found a home in Arizona. It makes no sense that Rodriguez could field top 15 teams at West Virginia and Arizona but not Michigan. There's some mystery factor at work here. I think we're cursed 8)
