Mizzou v. WVU
Mountainman? You still with us??
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Mountainman has been through the wars with his team. This is nothing that a little Mountain Dew can’t fix.

Gentlemen...... I’m an optimist and always look on the bright side because I know every cloud has a Silver Lining.
I see much less traffic congestion in Morgantown on Game Day, I see much faster seating and service at local restaurants, I see much less time spent waiting for a urinal to become available at halftime, I see a win in the future for my Beloved Mountaineers as today Kansas lost to Coastal Carolina.
Let’s Gooooooooo Mountaineers!!!!!

Absolutely. It is all about taking the next step. As they say in baseball....It's early.

A good next step for the Mountaineers would be to learn how to block....... as we know, football is a numbers game. If one runs the ball it’s 9 against 11, if one throws the ball it’s 10 against 11 and if one cannot block one cannot score, and if you cannot score you cannot win.
NC State is coming to Morgantown this weekend..... we’ll see.

Throwing or passing it is all about the lines on both sides. They can be a little off early, but any team that wants to get to the playoff has to get it together after that first blemish.

.........just how bad are things in Morgantown?????? Well it’s not good, not good at all. After two games, admittedly against pretty good competition, the Mountaineers’ Rushing ‘Attack’ is abysmal.
Attempts - 56
Total Yds - 64
Yds/Att - 1.1
Yds/Game - 32
Sadly, my Beloved Mountaineers are last in the NATION in Yards per Attempt at 1.1 yards. And to make matters worst, the two longest runs from scrimmage of 9 and 8 yards came from receivers on sweep plays.
In addition, there are ‘rumors’ that Transfer Portal Applications are under consideration.
To say the least, it’s a BIG GAME this Saturday when the Wolf Pack from NC State comes to town.

Makes one wonder where we'd be, and how stable certain programs would have been able to maintain, had all of this conference realignment never taken place ...
Imagine for a minute; Miami - Boston College - Virginia Tech not having left the Big East.
Nebraska & Colorado having stayed in the Big XII
Texas A&M and Maryland are bot winning at about the same percentage now, as they were before they left their former conferences.
Who exactly did all of this Realignment benefit, anyway?

That’s an easy one........ Cable TV and the CFP.

......in any event, I’m of a different opinion than most of my fellow Mountaineer Fans on what the hell is going on with the Mountaineer Run Game. I believe it’s Quarterback play, as I see too many runs against loaded boxes and too many pass attempts against 6 man boxes. I suspect, in many cases, our ‘inexperienced’ QB is not checking the play call correctly. I’ll be watching more closely come this Saturday.

Re: Mizzou v. WVU
Not really the CFP...
But $$$$....the conferences realized, way back when, that 130 teams in a division made for a real split between the Alabama's, Penn State's, etc...and Old Dominion's, UMass, and Liberty College's.
The ACC saw a breakaway coming...and they fought tooth and nail to be on the P5 side of it...by raiding Miami, VT. Pitt, Louisville, etc.
I think that things have stabilized...but I would not be surprised to see the Big 12 pick up some of the better G5 programs.

That was actually meant to be rhetorical sarcasm, but, yeah, Conference Realignment was designed to put a wider gap between the money schools, and the Group of 5.
