So far I like what I know about her, I just don't know very much. I'm going to hold my opinion of her until I find out some more about her. So far, though, I like her better then the three others running.

With the way the Dem's are attacking her, they sense something desperately wrong with their candidate. Coming up with stupid stories about the Downs Syndrome kid being her daughters baby. Ridiculous.

I, personally, LOVE IT!! You can tell when they sense the inevitable. 8)

That being said, I've never been fond of the thought of a woman President, Rep. or Dem.

I know the calender year, and assure you that I'm not a redneck neanderthal as some Dem's would like to paint me. 8)

I don't really care about race or gender in politics. I just mainly care about policy. Government is in need of a major overhaul, but unless we the people decide to quit asking them to spend money on us, it won't change. We (collectively) need to clean our own houses - meaning looking at our own reps. Do it right or leave. Too many politicians go from political cycle to political cycle without doing anything but run for office. Time that changes IMO.

Yeah, by most accounts, she's done an awesome job as governor for Alaska. Seems like a genuine figure and it doesn't seem like she would play the game of politics that most have been doing in Washington for a long time. Still, I don't know how much reform a vice president can bring and I try not to get too invested into a politician.......Ever

Like that one person on CNN during the Democratic convention crying over the fact that Hillary Clinton lost. Give me a break, you really think that she had you and people like you on her mind all this time? I'm no partisan, but the Clintons never do anything unless it benefits themselves first. At least with Obama you get the sense that he's at least trying to improve America, but I don't happen to agree with his direction. Obama, keep your change

After Obama's tax plan, all you will have is change.

Change for the sake of change isn't the right thing to do. Change for the better is what we must look for and I don't think we get that with either of our choices.

But you would agree that John McCain is a much better alternative than Obama, right?

We need another Goldwater or Reagan, and I don't know if McCain is that guy. Hopefully he is. His speech tonight highlighted the anti-government stuff, but it may be all fluff at this point. I'd want to wait and see results before I go all-in for him.

David you said Sarah Palin is, "...beautiful, well spoken, apparently tough as nails and intelligent". You can add that she was a former sports anchor....check out the video below of her delivering the sports back in 1980's.

I saw that the other day featured on Deadspin. Wasn't she a contestant in Miss Alaska or something in the 80's, too?

I don't know if better is a good word. I don't view them as that different. I agree that we need another Reagan or Goldwater type. I don't think we are looking at any of those, though.

Eric...yes she was a model as well. A sports anchor. A basketball player. And some of her favorite pastimes are: fishing and hunting. Did I mention that she is a member of the NRA. What more could you ask for?

She's a down-home, gun-totin' mama. What more would Mountainman look for?

Maybe someone that would do some interviews and answer some questions....ok to do it our her time frame..but with a short time frame left....maybe she could let us now when that may be....hard to support someone when you are not too sure what they believe....even if she believes as you do.
