Boise State v Air Force

Postby donovan » Sat Oct 22, 2011 8:01 pm

Boise won 37 - 26 but did not do that well on defense against the triple option. AF had twice as much time possession on offense as Boise and they did not look crisp and sharp. AF is well conditioned. They are small, but did not tire. Moore is tough to defend against and that was the difference. I do not think Boise helped their cause much today. I think Air Force, though not a good record will win out the rest of their games. Scrappy team.

It is hard to look good against a team that runs an offense that you don't see often. The good teams usually get the win, but often it isn't pretty.

Well, Michigan State did their part to take the Wisconsin heat off of the Broncos.

And,even with there being a half left to go; it would seem as though Texas Tech is attempting to lend a helping hand as well.

I think what Boise State will need now is Clemson to lose somewhere down the road, Stanford to lose to Oregon, LSU to beat Alabama, and Arkansas to beat LSU. I think Boise State would get in over Kansas State for sure and possibly they may have an edge over an undefeated Clemson.

I expect that Okie State has a better chance of going undefeated than K-State.

We'll know for sure when they meet in two weeks. The game is in Stillwater.

I'm on the fence with the Oregon/Stanford matchup. They both handled their competition pretty soundly this week. If the Ducks do win; it could be Boise's year.

Yeah I forgot about Oklahoma State for some reason. They should be rated higher than Boise.
