Ouch, Brutal!!!!

I should have not picked again.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Just a heads up, I'm waiting for ESPN's schedule to update their times so I can list the games in chronological order. Usually there are just two listed that are "TBA", but right now they've got over half of the games I plan on including listed as TBA. So....Hopefully they'll be up later today :D

Here is the source I use for my games in my pool. http://sportsdirect.usatoday.com/odds/usatoday/odds.aspxThese are listed in chronological order and have the point spreads, so you can see which games are predicted to be close games.

I went back and checked to find the only teams I haven't used yet this year: Idaho. I try to get every team at least one appearance over the course of the year. This week I saw some "battle of the cellar dwellers" type games and finally got UNLV, Kent State, and UAB off the schneid

It does seem like this year you have had more games with small spreads. This makes for harder picking, and if everyone takes the same side the game becomes a non-event for the pickem. Unfortunately, often times these games are teams from obscure conferences, that even a devoted college fan, knows very little about them.

I think this is why our percentage is probably lower than previous years.

Normally I just go with whichever games seem the hardest to pick, although there is an element of "how popular is the game?" that I take into account. Straight up, I don't think Florida/ South Carolina or TCU / Boise State will get that much separation, but I don't want to leave them off because they are marquee games.

Also I haven't been intentionally putting Utah and Louisiana Tech on the pick'em every week  ; they just have had tough-to-pick games for most of the season.

While winning percentage is important I wouldn't say that it is everything. In past years we have ranked the pick'em by number of wins and I believe it is because it shows a body of work, a strength of schedule, and it also encourages people to compete every week. When the best way to win a competition is not to compete then is it a competition or an anti-competition. The pick'em is just fun for me. I enjoy competing against people whom I respect. It is for scholarly pride and boasting rights although I doubt any of us would truly boast of being the greatest.

Not really, in the past, if you missed picking 1 week you were out. I cannot imagine anyone missing a week to help their chances. If total wins is the criteria, as soon as you forgot to pick a week, the season is over. I know a year ago, when some missed a week or two they just quit picking. I do think to be on top, there should be a minimum requirement. I have dropped calculating one or two people, as they only participated 1 week.
