Top25....Pay Your Dues

Postby donovan » Sun Jul 22, 2012 10:17 am

I think we are all grateful for this site, for the friends we have met and the camaraderie that is share both off season and on. I certainly am. Seems to me that we can support Spence and the work he does on our behalf and Mr. Congrove for what he provides by signing up to do the poll. It takes about ten minutes a week to do it. If you keep some kind of spread sheet...or in Mr. Billybud's case, a Dixon Ticonderoga yellow pencil and a legal pad of the same color, it is not that difficult. It is a very inexpensive price to pay for the benefit received. I do not think our friend Spence should have to beg and grovel. I can only assume the time he spends is significantly more than ten minutes a week. (And he has to do this while he is still working and then he has to count his money, the latter being very time consuming...if he does not count his money daily he gets so far behind...what a mess.)

Lastly, I think the individual polls we do never look all that great, but the one that is nationally published always appears, to me, to be more spot on than any other national poll, including the computerized ones.

It only takes me a couple seconds to count my money. (including pennies). Now, if you want to count payments, that could take awhile.
