A little college basketball and that is all sports for me. This offense will not work in NFL. The guys are older and just don't have the stamina do play 85 - 105 snaps. Up tempo is great, but not an NFL thing.

Also, if Kelly attempts this type of offense and has decent success, other teams will do what Kansas State did in the first quarter. Keep Kelly's offense off the field. Kansas State had some great moments of doing this. With under a minute to go in the first half, Oregon scores a TD.

I am pretty sure you guys know more about NFL than I ever will, but I can't see 32 - 40 year old O lineman that weigh 320+ pounds hop up for the next snap within 10 seconds and continue it for the entire game. If this was successful, could Kelly's defense deal with being on the field so much?

Great win Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl.

I just don't think it will work as a base offense. Kelly's offense doesn't look so good against good defenses and their are lots of very good defenses in the NFL.

Oregon will lose to a good defense...like the last time that they played LSU, or Auburn, or Ohio State...

I agree. And the problem for Kelly in the NFL is that he is going to go up against defensive college superstars everytime his offense lines up. His offense, I believe can work in the NFL in small doses, but as a base it will hurt him. Like it or not, the NFL is a field position league. The reason it is like that is because everyone in the league is so good. "Systems" don't work in the NFL.

That is correct. That is why it drives me crazy when people foam at the mouth at these high power offenses where defense is an after thought.

There's college football west of the Mississippi and north of the Mason-Dixon line?

I just can't watch games that start three time zones away....a 7:00 pm Pacific start isn't over until 1-2 am my time...and an 8:00 PM start is over around 2-3 am.

I usually watch one of the late games on Saturday if I get home in time. I only sleep about 4 hours a day though.

My weekends are normally free, so I can afford to get up at 11 AM and stay up until 2 AM :D

8)
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I'm up at 5 am on weekends and every day...it has been so since I was a young paper boy. Wish that I could sleep in....

I am always up by 6:00, 5:30 most days. I used to get up at 4:30 to milk cows when I worked at the dairy. We milked at 5:30 and 5;30 every day. I have never been able to break the habit of getting up early. The staying up late thing has just evolved, much to my dismay.
